Remembering Neptune

In his poetic memoir, Remembering Neptune, Allen Darwish weaves a poetic memoir that parallels the journeys of the Voyager probes through space with his own journey. This collection explores time, memory, and transformation, reflecting on the resilience of the human spirit and our search for meaning within the universe and within ourselves.

Submissions

We’re currently open for genre fiction submissions. This includes fantasy, sci-fi, romance, and mystery. We’re especially interested in series potential, but we’re open to outstanding stand-alone novels too.

If you accept representation from another publisher after your submission, please send us an email so we can congratulate you and remove your submission from our list.

Email your query letter, synopsis, and the first three chapters of your completed manuscript to submissions@flippedmittenpress.com. Put “Submission: [your genre]” in the subject of your email.

About

Flipped Mitten Press champions emerging authors, especially those who are frequently overlooked by the publishing industry.

What do we mean by “overlooked” authors? To us, this looks like (but isn’t limited to): BIPOC, women, LGBTQ+, neurodiverse, disabled, and working-class writers. If you face systemic barriers while trying to break into the literary world, we mean you.

As we deeply understand the power of storytelling and resilience, we’re committed to fostering a nurturing environment where authors find support, encouragement, and compensation for their creative work.
